Social Responsibility

At Suomen Prosessikemia Oy, we believe that individuals, communities, and companies alike should share what they’ve been given. We strive to uphold this principle by supporting thoughtful and meaningful causes.

In line with our values, we also prioritize local solutions and domestic alternatives in our operations.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

We believe that a person's values and foundation in life are largely shaped during childhood and youth – even though change is possible throughout one’s life.

We want to support children and young people in making the right choices in life: aiming for honesty, consideration for others, and other important values.

In practice, we have supported, for example:

More than half of our staff participate in volunteer work with children and youth during their free time. As a company, we support this by organizing vacation schedules to allow those interested to take leadership roles, for example, at children's camps.

Quality and Environment

Suomen Prosessikemia Oy has been supplying municipalities, industries, and later also private customers with both security-critical and otherwise classified hazardous chemicals for over 10 years. All our operations are based on high quality and responsibility, where each employee is committed to responsibility and self-monitoring at every level. Without this, our operations would not be possible, as the requirements are high from both customers and regulatory authorities. Among our clients are some of the most significant food factories and water utilities in the country.

On the environmental side, we do our best to ensure our work does not burden the planet or local surroundings, aiming for sustainability in everything we do. We are particularly proud of our container recycling system, which is unmatched in our field. We recycle canisters, drums, and IBC containers as long as their lifecycle allows. Once they are no longer usable for commercial transport, our specialized partners repurpose them for new uses.

We apply the same principle to our pallets, of which the vast majority (around 95%) are wooden. When they reach the end of their useful life, they are used as fuel in incineration plants, helping conserve more valuable fuels and, metaphorically speaking, serving “down to the last molecule.”
